Required Documents
High School Transcript: Request your official high school transcript as soon possible after Fall 2024 grades are available. Your official transcript must be sent by your school to info@sccabe.org. If sending official transcripts electronically is not an option, then your school must send it by U.S. mail to:

San Jose, CA 95173-1218It must be received or postmarked on or before March 1, 2025. If you have obtained your unofficial high school transcript, it is not required but you may choose to upload it to your scholarship application. If you have taken college courses, your college transcript(s) may also be uploaded to your application before it is submitted.
FAFSA Submission Summary: Submit your FAFSA as soon as possible. Your FAFSA Submission Summary will have your Student Aid Index (SAI) which must be provided on your scholarship application.
Directions on accessing your FAFSA Submission Summary: https://studentaid.gov/apply-for-aid/fafsa/review-and-correct/fafsa-submission-summaryLetter of Recommendation: One Letter of Recommendation from a high school teacher, counselor, or administrator (e.g., Principal, Vice Principal) must be provided to support your application. Letters of recommendation must be on official school letterhead. The letter-writer must send the letter directly to info@sccabe.org by March 1, 2025 . Letters can be up to 600 words in length.
The body of the letter should include:
- Letter-writer’s relationship to the applicant and how long they have known the applicant.
- Why they recommend the applicant for a SCCABE scholarship.
- Why they believe the applicant will be successful in their college goals.
- Any additional information about the applicant they believe should be considered
